Councillor Jane Batty’s Biography

Jane Batty balances professional experience with community involvement. As Vice President of Operations for Denny Andrews Inc., she managed the company’s interests for 13 years until her election to Council in 2001.

Her extensive corporate experience is equalled only by the varied work she has done in the community. She is a Foundation member of the Odyssium, a member of the University of Alberta Senate and the Edmonton Glenora Rotary Club, and she sits on the Board of Directors for Northlands Park. These diverse experiences are further augmented by her involvement on committees such as the River Valley Alliance, Police Commission, IAAF 2005 World Half Marathon Championships, the World Cup Triathlon, NAIT Centre for Culinary Arts Campaign Cabinet and in her work with Council.
